Tim Bobier Tim joined our club this year. We were working on the hangar and he joined not only in the work but as a club member also!

David Cousins joined the club in 2007. David is very happy doing a sport that brought new meaning to his life.

John Cove Instructor, John joined the club in 1974 and took his first solo flight that same year and has been instructing since 1983. He also owns a Pioneer II Flying Wing (C-GFJW) sailplane, one of only 15 ever built: http://www.sailplanedirectory.com/PlaneDetails.cfm?PlaneID=263

Heather Duncan joined the club in September 2008 and enjoys gliding as much as she enjoys "Beading". Welcome Heather.

Chris Eaves joined as a tow pilot in 1974 and soloed with the club that year. Chris has also been active in Competition Soaring. He is an A.M.E. and the owner/operator of XU Aviation and does an excellent job of looking after our club aircraft. http://www.xu-aviaition.com

Gerry Edwards joined the club in August 2006. Gerry is one of our student pilots and is working his way towards solo.

Janet Fozard Joined the Club in 2007. Janet tried the sport of sky diving but couldn't understand why someone would jump out of a perfectly good aircraft.Janet is one of our most eager students who is progressing very well in gliding.

Dennis Froese joined the club in ??. Denise is currently one of our student glider pilots and is also an A.M.E. Dennis had his first solo flight on May 13, 2007; Congratulations Dennis!

Pat Gamble left hang gliding to join the club in 1987 and soloed that year. Pat is also a past President of London Soaring and has been one of our most active pilots over the years.

Cal Gillett Club Treasurer, Instructor & Tow Pilot. Cal joined in 1990 as a Tow Pilot, but later caught the soaring bug and soloed in 1993. He's been instructing for over 7 years and flies a Schreder HP-18 (C-GQIY): http://www.sailplanedirectory.com/PlaneDetails.cfm?planeID=165

Tom Grayson was a club member for many years and re-joined London Soaring in 2006. Tom is shown in front of a Schweizer 1-26 (C-FZDQ) which is the ship he soloed in; Welcome back Tom!.

Alex Hislop Alex joined the club in 2007 and is one of our enthusiastic young members. He completed his first solo flight at the age of 14 on August 31st, 2008!

Tom Hislop Tom joined the club in 2007 and is the father of our newest solo pilot Alex. Tom is currently completeing his training along with his son.

Mike Innes Mike calls himself the oldest student but we don't believe him. He is solo now and flies the club 1-34 and Astir CS.

Matt Keast Club Safety Auditor & Website Administrator,Matt had his first glider flight at the age of 12 and soloed at age 15 at SOSA Gliding Club. He joined London Soaring in 1991. Don Lamont Started in power flying and then gliding. He joined the club in 1991 and has been one of our most active flying members.

John Lozon Joined the club this year and has started his training as a student pilot. Welcome to the club John!

Chuck McGee Joined in 1975, soloed 2 years later and has been flying ever since. His is a reassuring presence on the field and uses his farming background to keep our equipment going and the runway in good shape. Charlie Pastor was a past member and instructor at our club and will be returning this year after moving back to our area from Northern Ontario. Charlie is also a power pilot.

Kerry Risler Instructor. Kerry learned to fly at our club in the early '80s and has been instructing for the last 15 years, 8 as CFI.

David Turnbull joined the club in 2006 and was able to complete his first solo flight prior to the end of the season. David is looking forward to 2007!

Barry Usprech Club Vice-President & Chief Flying Instructor (CFI), Barry joined London Soaring in 1980, soloed in 1981 and has been instructing for 11 years.

Bill Vollmar joined the club in 2005. Bill was licensed in January 2008 and last winter flew out of Zephyrhills Florida at the Tampa Bay Soaring Club.

Cam Watts joined the club in 2008 and is working his way towards solo. Nice top hat Cam! you add a touch of class to the club.

Doug Ward Is our Club President, Doug joined the club in 2002 and had his first solo flight by the end of that flying season.
